| | Hiking trails | Cappadocia is quite simply an incredible region and will be the highlight of your stay in Turkey. A fantasy land of fairy chimneys and churches cut out of soft rock formations rising up in cone-like protrusions, the region was a Roman province and the refuge of persecuted Christians during the early days of the Roman Empire.
Far the best way to visit this area is on foot - as you hike through the lush green valleys and the moonlike landscapes with their unique historical sites you will see how the light changes the rock colours and formation.
Romy, your host, knows every walking trail of the area - she settled in Urgup over 15 years ago and has been walking the area ever since. She can advise you on the best tracks to take or accompany you for an off-the-beaten track tour which will always take you far from the tourist tracks. Romy is Swiss and speaks French and English but she is also fluent in Turkish so will be able to help you organising any leisure activity during your stay. |

| Hot Air Balloon Ride | | | It may be a well-used cliche but a hot-air balloon ride at sunrise across the magnificent Cappadocian landscape is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. |
| | Horse-riding | | | Horseback riding is also an excellent way to discover the wonders of Cappadocia. As you trek through each different valley, you will be astonished at the variety in vegetation and landscape. |
